Andrew:I'm going to add a new front page soon, add a simple guide as to how to use the site(s), and make it a bit smarter, moving most of the intro text to a second page. So Don't Panic if it looks different. May also pick another theme too.
Andrew:Two great ideas here - the A-Z and the 'vice of attainment and achievement sauasge machine' I'll write about both shortly! thanks to both for the feedback here.
Anonymous:Some good stuff here, but it is the management of this that raises problems within a college environment. I am using a wiki within Blackboard with staff, as a place for recording meetings (agendas and minutes) so everyone can add to the agenda, or amend minutes online. This is going quite well. I also more ambitiously tried to start an A to Z staff information area, but only one or two people have added stuff. The other thing I want to know is how we reconcile these open flexible tools with a rigid curriculum and assessment system? You read the becta review of web 2 emerging technologies and they say Myspace etc is something we have to get to grips with, but how does this fit into the vice of attainment and achievement sausage machine?
